Take a Walk on the Wild Side of Galway City!- October

A free field trip of one of the more interesting natural landscapes of Galway City area will take place during October as part of the city's first 'Biodiversity Week'.
The tour guide will be Gordon D'Arcy, one of Ireland's most well-known ecologists and an excellent communicator.

Despite its extensive building and roads development over the last 20 years, the city still retains large patches of beautiful unspoilt land and aquatic areas that are home to a wide variety of plant and animal wildlife.
Recently City Hall decided to protect 58 areas that were considered important habitats of biodiversity and safe them for future generations of Galwegians to enjoy.
